In this tutorial we will show you step by step how to root Le 1s and Le 1s Eco device. But before following this tutorial do the following things:

  • Charge the phone above 70% at least
  • Create the backup of your phone data and save it to PC

Disclaimer – Root the device on your own, we will not be held liable for any damage if happened due to root process.

Method 1 – Using just an apk file (no PC required)

applicable for both LeEco Le 1s (LeX507) and Le 1s Eco (LeX509)

We need to download and install an apk file to the phone

  • Go to kingroot website and download app for Android – kingroot app website
  • Install the apk file
  • Run the Kingroot app (it requires internet connectivity)
  • You will see a pre-interface having a “try it” button. Click on this button. After that you will see the app’s main dashboard
  • On main dashboard, all you need to do is hitting Get Now button


  • App will start rooting the  phone automatically.
  • Wait until the root progress is finished

Verify whether the device is root (use RootCheck app or locate the SuperSu app in your phone)

Method 2 – Requires computer and downloads (for Le 1S Eco)

If the method 1 doesn’t work for you, you can go with this advanced but 100% working method. Please follow all steps carefully

Required downloads

Prepare your phone – Enable developers options and then USB debugging

  • Go to phone settings > About > Build Number and tap it 7 times to enable developers options
  • In developer options enable USB debugging
  • In your PC extract WIndows Adb drivers and then install them
  • Connect you phone via USB and once the drive installation is finished, restart your computer

Unlock the boot loader

  • Extract Adb Tools zip file
  • In extracted folder you need to open command Window. To do so, being in the folder, press and hold the computer keyboard Shift key + right mouse click. It will show and additional option in popup window; Open Command Window here. See in the image below;

  • In command prompt type the following line and press keyboard Enter button – adb devices
  • If all things go well, your connected device is shown listed in command window
  • Now type the following line in command window – adb reboot bootloader
  • After adb reboot, again type the following line in command window – fastboot oem unlock
  • Sit back until the terminal finish the boot unlocking

Flash TWRP Recovery with the help of SP Flash Tool

Note – You must disable your Antivirus program, otherwise it will delete Flash Tool files

  • Extract the FlashTools downloaded archive
  • Extract the TWRP Recovery downloaded file
  • Run flash_tool.exe as administrator
  • Click on Scatter Loading icon and browse the file MT6795_Android_scatter_x507.txt. This file exists in TWRP folder

  • After loading scatter file, click on the download agent and locate the file DA_PL.bin (in Flash Tool folder)

  • Go to “options” > Download and check all options as shown in the image below

  • Select “Download any” from dropdown and “recovery” (keep all other options unselected)

  • Now click the Download button (below the green arrow icon)
  • Turn off the mobile and connect to PC via USB. Let the flash process finish

TWP Recovery is installed successfully and you can disconnect the phone now from PC

  • Enter into recovery mode by pressing power and volume down (or up) button
  • Go to Wipe > Format Data > Advance wipe > Choose Dalvik Cache & Cache and Wipe
  • Reboot the phone normally

Install the SuperUser

  • Copy the to your device internal memory or SD card
  • Again enter into recovery mode
  • Choose the option “install the zip” > “install from sdcard and look for
  • Install

Restart the phone after flashing is done.
