Google added a new feature to the Android App of its India, Indonesia and Philippines users. Now they will be able to download and watch videos even when they have no internet access. In other words, there is no need to use any YouTube downloader app to download YouTube videos.
It is notable that you cannot access downloaded videos using any other video player but you can access these downloaded videos exclusively under YouTube app and there are many videos those can’t be saved via this features because of applied restriction by video owner.
Anyway YouTube hosts millions of videos and there are many videos that we would like to save for offline watching.
How to download a YouTube video under YouTube app on Android
- To download a YouTube video for offline watching, you must have latest version installed on your device. After updating the app, you will find a download button.
- Open the video you want to download and then click on the button that looks like a downward arrow.
- Once download starts, you can get out from YouTube screen and you can even make the screen off. Download will remain active in background.
Download having done, you can access it in Offline section of YouTube app, You can’t access it via any other video player.
